A Farewell and Space for Something New
Since 2016, the Berlin Ukulele Festival has taken place eight times — created with heart, joy, and the desire to build a space for music, connection, and community.
What began as a passion project has grown into an important part of the German-speaking ukulele scene.
I — Sabina Saračević — want to say thank you:
To the artists who have shaped the festival with their music.
To the audiences who have returned year after year.
To the many volunteers without whom none of this would have been possible.
And to the International cultural centre ufaFabrik, which has given the festival a home and supported it from the very beginning. Thank you for your trust and support.
After eight intense years, it’s time for me to take a break. A lot is changing — both around me and within me. I feel the need to create space for new ideas to grow.
Because of that, the Berlin Ukulele Festival will not continue in its current form.
It has been a wonderful and enriching time — and I’m deeply grateful for everything we have created together.
What grows from this remains open. For now, it’s time to let go — and see what comes next.
